DJI released the “DJI Mic Mini 2,” a new model in its popular Mic Mini series of compact wireless microphones that support omnidirectional voice recording. With features such as three audio tone presets, two levels of noise cancellation, connectivity with different models, and DJI Osmo Audio compatibility, it allows for seamless, high-quality audio recording.
Furthermore, it continues to feature an all-in-one storage style where all tools can be stored in the case, making it convenient to carry. The multi-color magnetic front cover is available in a wide range of colors.
DJI Mic Mini 2 Features
The transmitter weighs approximately 11g when used alone, without the Mic Mini 2 magnetic clip or Mic 3 magnet attached. The detachable magnetic clip, designed for comfort, allows you to adjust the microphone’s orientation to precisely point towards the sound source.
Furthermore, it can record audio faithfully to the original sound with high-quality 48kHz/24bit audio. The Mic Mini 2 comes with three voice tone presets (Regular/Rich/Bright) that enable professional tuning, allowing you to choose the optimal recording method for each scene.
This new mic also supports two-stage noise cancellation, allowing you to choose a mode that suits both quiet indoor and noisy outdoor environments. In addition, like the previous generation model, it offers an automatic limiting function to prevent audio clipping, five levels of gain adjustment, and dual-track recording using the DJI Mimo app.
All-in-one storage
The improved “DJI Mic Mini 2 Charging Case” neatly stores the transmitter, receiver, and various accessories, making it convenient to carry. Meanwhile, the “DJI Mic Mini 2 Charging Case (1 TX + 1 Mobile RX)” is designed to charge and store accessories used with the mobile receiver. These practically designed charging cases allow creators to carry their complete recording equipment anywhere, improving efficiency during travel and filming.
A style that suits any occasion
The DJI Mic Mini 2 comes with eight interchangeable multi-color magnetic front covers. These attach to the transmitter, allowing you to choose a color to match your style. Two additional magnetic front covers (Obsidian Black and Glaze White) are included as standard, providing both aesthetic appeal and practicality for any situation.
Supports multiple devices
The DJI Mic Mini 2 can easily connect to cameras, smartphones, computers, and tablets using the DJI Mic Mini Receiver. Designed to connect to multiple different models, the DJI Mic Mini Receiver can be paired with DJI Mic Mini and DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters. Furthermore, the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver can connect not only to the DJI Mic Mini and DJI Mic Mini 2, but also to the DJI Mic 3 transmitter, enabling studio-quality 48kHz/24-bit audio recording on the go.
Because it also supports direct connection to DJI Osmo Audio, the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter can connect directly to up to two devices such as the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6 without using a receiver, and can record high-quality 48kHz/24-bit audio.
DJI Mic Mini 2 Transmission Distance
When using the DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 TX + 1 RX) set with the DJI Mic Mini receiver, the transmission distance is up to 400m, and when using the DJI Mic Mini 2 (1 TX + 1 RX) with the mobile receiver, it reaches up to 300m. Furthermore, the transmitter can operate for up to 11.5 hours, and the receiver for up to 10.5 hours. Using the fully charged charging case extends the operating time up to 48 hours.
The Mic Mini receiver and Mic Mini 2 transmitter can be used for approximately one hour on a mere five-minute charge. When the transmitter does not detect a signal from the receiver, it automatically enters sleep mode to conserve battery power.
