Sigma will release the full-frame mirrorless lens, the “Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports,” on September 4, 2025. The suggested retail price is to be determined. Additionally, the lens will be available in both L-mount and Sony E-mount mounts.
This product is the world’s first 200mm F2 telephoto prime lens compatible with full-frame mirrorless cameras. Its large bokeh and compression effect, combined with its outstanding optical performance, produce precise depictions that enable one-of-a-kind photographic and video expression. It is ideal for portrait photography as well as indoor sports photography in low light.

The optical design is comprised of 19 elements in 14 groups, including two FLD glass elements and two SLD glass elements. Thorough correction of axial chromatic aberration and lateral chromatic aberration ensures high resolution and contrast across the entire image field, even at maximum aperture. To combat flare and ghosting, the lens employs a Super Multi-Layer Coating and a Nanoporous Coating, ensuring excellent resistance to backlight.

The AF actuator uses a linear motor, “HLA (High-response Linear Actuator),” to achieve high-speed, high-precision AF. The image stabilization mechanism is equipped with the latest algorithm, “OS2,” which provides 6.5 stops of compensation. In addition to Mode 1 for normal shooting, it also has Mode 2, which is ideal for panning.

The lens barrel is coated with a heat-shielding coating to prevent temperature increases due to sunlight. The mount and each operation switch are dust-proof and weather-resistant, and the front of the lens is coated with a water-repellent and dirt-resistant coating.
The included tripod mount is designed to be used as a carrying handle and features a click mechanism every 90°. It also comes equipped with various functions to support shooting, such as an AFL button and a focus limiter switch.
