Zoom Corporation announced the release of the H6studio, a studio-quality 32-bit float compatible handheld recorder equipped with four EIN-127dBu ultra-low noise preamps and a 19.4mm large-diameter XY stereo microphone, in late August 2025.
The H6studio is ZOOM’s flagship handheld recorder, featuring four phantom-powered XLR/TRS inputs, 32-bit float recording with adjustable gain, and a microphone capsule exchange system. It boasts recording performance comparable to the F Series of professional field recorders, and supports simultaneous recording of up to eight tracks (six tracks + stereo mix). It’s said to meet the needs of a wide range of productions, including video production, music production, podcasts, and live streaming.
In the ever-expanding high-resolution audio recording market in the music and video industries, the H6studio combines studio-quality recording performance with high operability, targeting both professionals and advanced amateurs.
Each input is equipped with a dedicated knob for quick and intuitive volume adjustment, and 32-bit float recording lets you focus on balancing without worrying about distortion, eliminating the need for post-recording level adjustments, significantly streamlining your production workflow.

Equipped with four ultra-low noise preamps with F-series quality and EIN -127dBu
The AK4110 features four XLR/TRS phone inputs with an EIN of -127dBu, using the same high-performance preamps as the F Series. The combination of dual AD circuits and 32-bit Float processing achieves a dynamic range of 132dB, allowing for clear recording of sounds at any level.
Clear, three-dimensional stereo image that lets you see the position of the sound source
The built-in microphone uses an XY stereo system, in which two diaphragms cross in a straight line. By eliminating the phase difference between the left and right, a clear stereo sound image is obtained, and the “missing center” feeling that can occur with AB and pseudo-XY systems is also eliminated.

19.4mm large diameter XY stereo microphone
The large 19.4mm diameter diaphragm achieves a maximum SPL of 140dB, capturing even explosions and loud engine sounds without distortion. Combined with a studio-class preamp, this achieves the largest dynamic range of 123dB in the history of microphone-integrated recorders (our own comparison). Combined with flat frequency response across the entire frequency range, it enables unparalleled stereo recording accuracy.

Gain adjustment knob and 32-bit float for worry-free recording
The “32-bit Float” format eliminates concerns about clipping but requires post-production (volume adjustment in a DAW or similar after recording), while the “16/24-bit Fixed” format does not require post-production but requires careful gain adjustment during recording. Both have their pros and cons, but by combining 32-bit Float with gain adjustment, there are no longer any concerns. It also has a dedicated format switching switch, allowing for flexible adaptation depending on the conditions of the recording site.
Simultaneous recording of 6 tracks + stereo mix
Supporting a wide range of sampling rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, it is possible to simultaneously record up to eight tracks (six tracks + stereo mix), meeting the needs of a wide range of productions, including the highest quality multi-track recording and stereo mix recording that can be used without post-editing.
Free yourself from annoying noise
The XY stereo microphone is highly resistant to electromagnetic noise from smartphones and Wi-Fi routers, and features a shock mount mechanism to reduce handling noise and vibration noise, enabling stable recording in any environment.

Advanced limiter that never distorts and predicts peaks
The Advanced Limiter used in the F Series is included. By anticipating sudden input changes, clipping is avoided in 16/24-bit Fixed recording, and post-recording correction is unnecessary in 32-bit Float recording.

Input terminal that can be connected to any device
The four locking XLR and TRS phone inputs support +4dBu line level, allowing direct connection to the line output of a PA mixer or professional camera. Supports +48V phantom power, allowing direct connection of condenser microphones. The 3.5mm stereo mini LINE/MIC IN jack supports plug-in power, allowing connection of lavalier microphones (pin microphones) and other devices.

Dual AD compatible microphone capsule replacement system 3.0
Zoom’s proprietary Microphone Capsule Interchange System 3.0 allows you to adapt to a variety of production environments by replacing the included XY stereo microphone with the optional SSH-6e stereo shotgun microphone or the EXH-6e, which expands the XLR/TRS phone inputs.

* SSH-6e, EXH-6e, WLM-1, H6essentila included microphone (XYH-6e) can be used.
