SG-image announced the SG-image 12mm F2.8 wide-angle lens.
The SG-image 12mm F2.8 is an ultra-wide-angle, prime manual focus lens for APS-C sensors. Compatible mounts include Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, and Leica L (Leica L is only available at the 2ndfocus online store and Amazon).
The SG-image 12mm F2.8 achieves a wide angle of view of 98°, equivalent to 18mm in 35mm format, allowing you to capture every last detail of city buildings and vast natural landscapes, enabling dynamic depictions.

The high-performance optical design, consisting of 10 elements in 8 groups, including three high-refractive-index elements and one aspherical element, effectively suppresses distortion and coma, achieving clear, high-contrast, high-resolution images from the maximum aperture of F2.8 to the corners of the image. This large F2.8 aperture ensures sufficient light, allowing you to capture subjects clearly and express rich gradations even in nightscape and starry sky photography.

In addition, the minimum focusing distance is 0.2m, so it is also suitable for close-up shooting, allowing you to enjoy the depth expression unique to wide-angle lenses, by getting close to the subject while capturing a large portion of the background.
In terms of operation, the aperture ring has a clicky feel and the focus ring has just the right amount of weight, supporting intuitive and reliable manual operation. Despite its robust metal barrel, the lens weighs just 300g, making it suitable for a wide range of shooting situations, from everyday use to travel.
