Thypoch announced the new Positive Lock Adapter (E/Z/RF/L) for Leica M-mount lenses, which is equipped with Thypoch’s positive lock (cine lock) mechanism. Price depends on region of purchase.
The Thypoch Positive Lock Adapter is a mount adapter for attaching Leica M-mount lenses to mirrorless cameras. It uses a positive lock (CineLock) mechanism similar to the fixing method used for cinema lenses, and a locking ring securely fastens the lens to the mount surface. This reduces play between the lens and adapter, ensuring high stability when operating the focus and aperture rings.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a dual lock mechanism that prevents the lens from falling off when the lock ring is loosened. By activating the lock switch, it prevents the lens from accidentally falling off when changing lenses.
The adapter is designed to be used with the brand’s compact and lightweight cinema lenses, the Thypoch Simera-C series (M mount), and is balanced for stable mounting. This combination makes it possible to significantly reduce the weight compared to a typical PL system (PL mount lens + adapter), achieving both mobility and ease of use.
