What is the Aputure Amaran Halo ?

The new Aputure Amaran Halo series is a powerful and reliable lighting series designed to bring amaran quality to more creators. Depending on the model, it offers up to 64% more brightness than previous models, powerfully illuminating any shooting scene with its overwhelming light output.

It is suitable for a wide range of users, from those using lighting for the first time to professionals building studio environments with multiple lights. With stable bi-color output that achieves natural expression and a robust, durable design, it can be used with confidence on a daily basis on set. It supports a smooth production environment without adding unnecessary complexity to the workflow.

Its ease of operation allows intuitive adjustment of brightness (INT) and color temperature (CCT) using separate knobs. The clear and simple interface makes it easy to use and allows for quick setup. It also supports wireless operation, and the built-in NFC allows for one-tap pairing with the amaran app. Multiple Halo series lights can be easily connected even before powering them on, streamlining setup and adjustment.

Its compact design makes it easy to set up and store even in limited spaces. Despite its small size, the optimized cooling design produces quiet operation at just 28dBA, allowing you to use it without worrying about noise even when recording audio.

Comparison with previous Amaran products

Previous Amaran products included models with reflectors and softboxes, but the Amaran Halo series offers accessories sold separately, allowing users to choose the right fit for their needs. The price is affordable, allowing users to focus on the essentials, and the Bowens mount makes it compatible with a wide range of existing Amaran accessories.

It also supports DMX control via USB-C, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from live streaming studios to professional filming locations. Using the optional USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter, it can also be integrated with industry-standard consoles and software. This high-output portable light boasts a maximum light output of 56W, 3,240 lux (5600K) at 1m, and a slim, lightweight body measuring just 5.8cm thick and 420g. It boasts over 28% more output than the amaran COB 60xS. It boasts efficient USB-C PD power supply, and can be powered by the amaran Peak series via USB-C PD using the separately sold Ace E-Lock Adapter.
