Nikon confirmed a recall of some of its Z5II and Z6III mirrorless cameras and ZR cinema camera. The recall is due to the potential for these cameras to contain components that do not meet the company’s quality standards, potentially malfunctioning. The company has identified the product number ranges for the affected Z5II and ZR models and has announced its response.
Note that if you purchased a Nikon Z6III in Japan, the recall does not affect your camera.
Regardless of the warranty period, the affected products will be repaired free of charge. The company will cover the round-trip shipping costs. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact the service center (Nikon Reception Center, telephone number 0120-722-611).
