Leica announced a new color variation, “Metal Gray Paint.” This sophisticated and elegant gray finish will be applied to three camera models—the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3, and Leica D-LUX 8—as well as to M lenses. Black controls and red lettering on the lenses provide accents. The new models will be released sequentially starting in June 2026, and dedicated accessories will also be available.
The planned release dates for the new metallic gray “Leica M11-P,” “Leica Q3,” “Leica D-LUX 8,” and “Leica Apo-Summicron M f2/50 ASPH.” are as follows.

Leica M11-P Metal Gray Paint
The first M-type camera to feature a metallic gray paint finish was the Leica M11-P. Its full-metal body combined with black controls creates a sophisticated look. The exterior uses diamond-patterned leather, giving it the same texture as other metallic gray models. This model is also manufactured at the Leica factory in Wetzlar, Germany. Dedicated accessories include a battery in the same color, a dark brown leather protector, and a strap. The multi-function protector has an integrated handgrip, and the base plate is Arca-Swiss compatible.
Leica Apo-Summicron-M f/2/50 ASPH. Metal Gray Paint
To match the Leica M11-P, the Leica Apo-Summicron-M f2/50 ASPH. lens will also be released in metallic gray. The lens body and front cap feature a new color scheme, and the feet and focal length scales are engraved in red. When combined with the camera body, it creates a unified design.
Leica Q3 Metal Gray Paint
The full-frame compact camera “Leica Q3” will also be available in metallic gray. It features black control panels as an accent and red markings on the lens scale. The basic specifications remain the same as the previous model, offering high image quality and simple operation. New leather protectors and straps are also available, allowing users to choose a style that suits their preferences.
Leica D-LUX 8 Metal Gray Paint
A metallic gray model of the compact camera “Leica D-LUX 8” will also be released. The design features a gray body and FN button, with black dials. It is equipped with the large-aperture zoom lens “Leica DC Vario-Summilux f1.7-2.8/10.9-34 ASPH.”, balancing portability and image quality. New accessories include a cognac-colored case and a braided strap.
