LK SAMYANG announced another new lens, the “AF 35mm F1.8 P FE,” due to be released on June 19, 2026 (Friday). This product is compatible with Sony E-mount (full-frame) cameras and combines optimal mobility and image quality for everyday use.
“Prima” is derived from Latin and means “first” and “important.” SAMYANG’s Prima series is designed to be the “first lens” for users, the lens they reach for “first” when taking pictures.
The SAMYANG AF 35mm F1.8 P FE features a bright F1.8 aperture and a compact design. Its semi-wide-angle field of view makes it ideal for travel, street photography, and everyday documentary photography. Weighing only 216g, it’s light enough that even carrying three lenses from the same Prima series—the ultra-wide-angle AF 16mm F2.8 P FE (207g) and the medium telephoto AF 85mm F1.8 P FE (272g)—would keep the total weight under 700g.
