SG-image unveiled the new Micro Four Thirds version the SG-image AF 25mm F1.8. The due date is on July 10, 2026 (Friday). This lens was added in addition to the currently available Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z mount versions.
The “SG-image AF 25mm F1.8” Micro Four Thirds model is a large-aperture prime lens with a natural standard angle of view close to human vision, equivalent to approximately 50mm in 35mm format. It boasts an astonishingly thin and lightweight design, weighing only about 130g and measuring approximately 31mm in length, making it comfortable to carry around even when attached to a camera.
The bright f/1.8 aperture and the soft, natural bokeh produced by the 9-blade circular aperture beautifully highlight subjects in portraits, table photography, and everyday street snapshots.
The exterior features a metal lens barrel that combines texture and durability, and a dedicated metal lens hood is included as standard. The autofocus, which uses an STM (stepping motor), operates quietly and smoothly, allowing for quick focusing.
