Canon Lenses

Canon is synonymous with quality. A maker of various lines of cinema, mirrorless, and SLR cameras, Canon lenses come in various ranges of price, strength, and quality, ranging from beginner level lenses to the high-end cinematic lens. Here is our choice of 3 affordable Canon lenses, from the EF line.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM:

This is one of Canon’s most affordable prime lenses, often referred to as the “nifty fifty.” Versatile and highly functional, this lens is great for portraits, street photography, and general everyday use. The wide aperture (f/1.8) allows for excellent low-light performance and strong bokeh effect.

Price: $95 – $112

Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM:

The Canon EF-S 24mm is a compact and super-lightweight prime lens designed for Canon’s APS-C cameras. This lens is great for capturing wide-open scenes, especially when on a busy schedule. With an extremely sharp rate of focus and a virtually silent STM motor, this lens can also be used for cinematography.

Price: $76 – $129

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM:

This particular lens is the telephoto lens for the budget photographer. With an extremely strong image stabilization system internally, as well as a quiet STM, this lens is strong and powerful. Capable of capturing wildlife, sporting events, aircraft, and other moving objects with stability, this lens is the telephoto lens for those looking to enter into photographing those particular hobbies.

Price: $90 – $245
