While leaving the composition of the mountains and rivers of the original Sansui painting intact, I incorporated modern elements such as modern landscapes and people into the new indigo world constructed with 3D models.

Combining 2D and 3D was essential, and Fusion’s 3D workspace allowed us to directly load 3D models, which Fusion handled well. The built-in fog effect was very useful for expression. And most importantly, Fusion allowed us to express the unique sense of space in Chinese landscape painting.

He said the project used Fusion Studio for VFX, as well as DaVinci Resolve to create a beautiful modern version of the landscape painting.
