Fujifilm has released the latest firmware for its medium-format GFX series digital camera and X series digital mirrorless camera. It can be downloaded from the company website .
The updated firmware and main update contents are as follows.
GFX series camera upgrades
FUJIFILM GFX100 Ver.5.00
- Compatible with the new FUJIFILM XApp app for the GFX/X series
- Added “Area Settings” to “Basic Settings” in the setup menu. Along with this, the initial setting method and the “world clock” setting method have been changed. In addition, 24-hour display can now be selected in “Date and time settings”
- The contents of “Reset” in the setup menu have been added and changed.
- “Connection settings” > “Bluetooth settings” in the setup menu has been changed to “Bluetooth/smartphone settings”, and “Image transfer while power is off” has been added. In addition, “automatic image transfer after shooting” has been changed to “automatic transfer when shooting”, and “smartphone synchronization setting” has been changed to “smartphone location information synchronization”.
- The contents of “Connection Settings” > “Common Settings” in the setup menu have been moved.
- Bluetooth pairing registration has been added to the function (Fn) setting when the DISP/BACK button is pressed and held. Along with this, the method of connecting to a smartphone has changed.
- Corrected the phenomenon in which color unevenness may occur in recorded images when shooting starscapes with high sensitivity and long exposure.
- Fixed a bug that caused the camera to freeze when shooting still images with the GF20-35mmF4 R WR attached and with the following setting: [zoom position: wide angle] [distance from camera to subject: around 1-2m].
- Other minor bugs fixed.
FUJIFILM GFX100S Ver.2.02
- Corrected the phenomenon in which color unevenness may occur in recorded images when shooting starscapes with high ISO sensitivity and long exposure.
- Corrected the phenomenon of freezing when shooting still images with the GF20-35mmF4 R WR attached and [zoom position: wide angle] [distance from camera to subject: around 1-2m].
- Fixed other minor bugs
FUJIFILM GFX50S II Ver.2.02
- Corrected the phenomenon of freezing when shooting still images with the GF20-35mmF4 R WR attached and with the following setting: [zoom position: wide angle] [distance from camera to subject: around 1-2m].
- Fixed rare freeze issue that occurs when the “Image display” setting is set to “Continuous/1.5 seconds/0.5 seconds” or when still images are shot with ISO sensitivity set to 25600 or higher even when the “Image display” setting is set to “OFF”
- Fixed other minor bugs
