Leica will release the “Leica SOFORT 2” hybrid instant camera on November 10, 2023. The selling price on the Leica online store is $390 including tax. SOFORT 2 is designed to match the digital and unchanging analog worlds together.
The Leica SOFORT 2 leverages the company’s know-how in industrial design to create a modern, minimalist, and elegant exterior. The Leica brand experience continues throughout the SOFORT 2’s usability. The SOFORT 2’s easy-to-use menu structure and button layout similar to other Leica digital cameras.
The main new feature of SOFORT 2 is the option to permanently save digital images and select the best shots before printing. With this feature, photos from smartphones and photos taken with other Leica cameras will be saved in the seamlessly connected gallery of the Leica FOTOS app. These photos can be transferred to the camera via the app along with being printed. Pull the camera’s manual print lever, and in a few seconds the print will be printed onto Instax Mini format photo paper. Leica’s own photo paper is also available.

SOFORT 2 is available in three colors: black, red, and white. The product is suitable for use as a camera to share special experiences with families, at events, and while traveling. It is equipped with functions that support creative instant photography. A selfie mode with an independent shutter button, and a landscape mode that takes advantage of the characteristics of a wide-angle lens, all expand the camera’s creativity. A macro mode that allows close-ups up to 10cm, as well as 10 types of lenses and 10 types of film effects, unleashes the user’s creativity.
