KOKUSAI DENKI unveiled its flagship 4K broadcast cameras, versatile 4K box cameras, the advanced RU-2500JY remote control panel, and the new VF-EL20HP broadcast camera viewfinder. These products further strengthen KOKUSAI DENKI’s commitment to helping broadcasters, sports production companies, and live event organizers modernize their production capabilities while protecting their existing technology investments.

SK-UHD7000
The highlight of KOKUSAI DENKI 4K Camera displays at NAB Show New York is the “SK-UHD7000,” a professional 4K UHD camera system designed for demanding broadcast and live production environments. The camera features three 2/3-inch CMOS image sensors with native 4K resolution, capturing detailed 3840 x 2160 UHD video with high color reproduction, high sensitivity, and low noise performance. Global shutter technology minimizes unwanted artifacts such as flicker and banding associated with LED lighting and large displays. KOKUSAI DENKI also offers the “SK-UHD7000-S2” configuration, a flexible entry-level model for 4K that can be immediately activated with an optional license upgrade.
DK-H700
KOKUSAI DENKI additionally showcased the DK-H700. This camera is a multi-format box camera that combines broadcast-quality video with flexible installation options in a compact solution. Designed for applications where camera size, installation location, and operational versatility are essential, the DK-H700 is particularly suitable for sports venues, live event production, broadcast studios, and specialized viewpoint camera installations. The DK-H700 combines 2/3-inch CMOS imaging technology, advanced digital signal processing, and HDR support to deliver sharp, detailed images, realistic color reproduction, excellent sensitivity, and low noise.
The DK-H700 can be used as a standalone production solution, or it can complement the SK-UHD7000 in large-scale multi-camera environments. This allows production teams to gain greater flexibility in camera placement and system design without compromising the video consistency essential for professional live production.
RU-2500JY
Complementing this camera lineup is the RU-2500JY remote control panel. KOKUSAI DENKI plans to demonstrate this product in combination with the SK-UHD7000. Designed to maximize operability in limited production spaces, the RU-2500JY features an ultra-slim design with a width of 82mm (3.2 inches), allowing five units to be installed side-by-side in a standard 19-inch rack.
The panel integrates a 3.5-inch color touchscreen, illuminated controls, a high-precision joystick, and dedicated camera shading functions, allowing operators to intuitively make necessary image adjustments during live production. Advanced HDR and SDR controls, color matrix adjustments, and scene file recall capabilities ensure consistent image quality even in multi-camera productions.
Supporting both traditional serial connections and IP-based control via Power over Ethernet (PoE), the RU-2500JY is compatible not only with existing broadcast infrastructure but also with evolving REMI and distributed production workflows. Furthermore, the USB interface allows operators to save and recall camera settings, simplifying setup and maintaining consistency across multiple production environments.
New dual-display viewfinder
KOKUSAI DENKI will unveil its new broadcast camera viewfinder, the VF-EL20HP, at the NAB Show New York. This product brings advanced monitoring capabilities and greater operational flexibility to camera operators in studios and on location.
The VF-EL20HP combines a 0.7-inch full HD OLED eyepiece with a 3.5-inch full HD flip-out LCD monitor, allowing camera operators to switch between traditional eyepiece viewing and flexible off-axis monitoring without the need for an additional external display. The OLED provides exceptional contrast, deep black levels, and accurate focus display, while the high-brightness LCD supports camera position changes and collaborative viewing during live production.
Built-in waveform monitor, vectorscope, and histogram tools allow operators to instantly access important video and signal information directly from the viewfinder.
Other features include customizable focus peaking, exposure assist, framing markers, and SDI direct return monitoring, which help operators maintain precise image control while reducing their reliance on external monitoring equipment.
Sean Moran, COO of KOKUSAI DENKI, commented as follows:
“Broadcast and live production teams need equipment that can adapt to changing workflows and protect their long-term investments.
“The demonstration at NAB Show New York embodied the balance between the SK-UHD7000’s outstanding native 4K performance and the DK-H700’s flexibility, from more intuitive camera control to monitoring. The world premiere of the new VF-EL20HP viewfinder is another excellent example of providing customers with practical innovations, whether it’s building a new 4K system or enhancing existing infrastructure.”
