Blackmagic Design has released the latest update for the Blackmagic Video Assist. The newest version live is version 3.16. The download link is available on Blackmagic Design’s web page clickable here.
This software update adds support for recording Blackmagic RAW from the Fujifilm X-T50 camera to the Video Assist 5” and 7” 12G HDR. When recording Blackmagic RAW with the Video Assist 12G HDR, camera settings can now be saved in the metadata. White balance and exposure are encoded in the file and can be read by DaVinci Resolve, but it is also possible to override these settings in the RAW settings palette for color correction.
