DJI released the DL 75mm F1.8 Lens, a medium telephoto lens that enhances the aerial photography experience. The estimated price is $1,650.
This new lens boasts the largest aperture and longest focal length in DJI’s DL lens series and is designed for the Zenmuse X9 Air gimbal camera on the Inspire 3 cinema drone. With the launch of the DL 75mm lens, DJI’s full-frame lens lineup now extends from ultra-wide angle to medium telephoto, meeting a wide range of filmmaking needs.
Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director at DJI, commented on the DJI DL 75mm:
“With the launch of the new DJI DL 75mm lens, DJI continues to push the boundaries of aerial and handheld filmmaking and innovate the filmmaking industry,” said Mr. Wolf. “We are committed to unleashing creators’ imaginations and providing them with professional tools to realize their vision.”
DJI DL 75mm Features
Rich image expression brought about by the long focal length of 75mm
The DJI DL 75mm has the longest focal length of any DL-mount lens, allowing you to capture deep depth of field footage, allowing you to capture the fine details of natural landscapes, shoot high-speed car chases up close from a safe distance, and capture complex subject compositions in a variety of scenes.
The large aperture F1.8 lens allows for comfortable shooting all day long
The DJI DL 75mm’s wide F1.8 aperture provides excellent imaging performance even at night or in low light conditions. In addition, a shallow depth of field allows you to blur the background and capture stylish footage with the subject in focus. Combined with the Inspire 3’s dual ISO, you can capture clear city night scenes and capture the beauty of light and shadow from the sky.
Outstanding optical quality
The DJI DL 75mm is made up of 10 elements in 9 groups, with 3 extra-low dispersion lenses. The UMC coating reduces internal reflections, providing high contrast and clear images. This results in high sharpness and low chromatic aberration, allowing for high quality images that faithfully reproduce every detail.
Lightweight design for easy operation
The DJI DL 75mm is lightweight and optimized for aerial photography, weighing just 269g. Its one-piece carbon fiber housing meets the high mobility requirements of the Inspire 3 cinema drone. A counterweight block can be used to keep the drone balanced in flight.
