ARRI unveiled the SkyPanel S60 Pro soft light. The latest addition to the SkyPanel family, the SkyPanel Pro inherits the strengths of the previous SkyPanel S60-C while being updated to meet the needs of modern professionals, achieving both cost-effectiveness and versatility.

Fast, efficient and reliable, the new SkyPanel S60 Pro stays true to ARRI’s legacy and produces soft, balanced light that exceeds the demands of film and stage crews.

ARRI SkyPanel S60 features

  

The SkyPanel S60 Pro offers new and enhanced technical features and is packed full of digital innovation to meet the demands of streamlining production workflows.

Developed by ARRI Solutions, the Digital Twin is an exact replica of a lighting rig in Unreal Engine that provides customization and control throughout the production chain, allowing crews to quickly synchronize and live collaborate between real-world and virtual cameras and lighting systems, reducing workload and improving efficiency during prep, on set, and in post-production.

Serviceability has also been enhanced with CloudIO software. CloudIO is the industry’s first digital IoT device designed by Claypaky to run seamlessly on the cloud. Ideal for lighting professionals and rental companies, CloudIO provides streamlined diagnostics, remote assistance and comprehensive service.

Performance

For greater flexibility and creativity on set, the SkyPanel S60 Pro is configured with four LED zones for better pixel control, unparalleled color accuracy, and optimal light distribution. Powered by an RGBW LED light engine, it offers a full range of colors and superior lighting consistency, easily adapting to any style and illuminating any scene with more power and true, vibrant colors.

Low dimming performance has also been improved, providing smooth, flicker-free dimming even at low levels for ultimate lighting control.

ARRI has responded to customer feedback with improvements to the fixture’s handle, control panel location and, most importantly, connectivity and control options. The SkyPanel S60 Pro also features a built-in power supply to help streamline setup, making the fixture easier to transport and manage with fewer cables and less rigging material, all while maintaining the same size and weight as the original S60-C.

Every ARRI SkyPanel is part of the ecosystem. The SkyPanel S60 Pro can seamlessly integrate into existing workflows and wireless setups with built-in CRMX and Bluetooth for app-based control like the ARRI LiCo app, 5-pin DMX in/out for robust traditional control, or Ethernet in/out for new studio installations. Color consistency is guaranteed, even when mixing different SkyPanels.

Additionally, the S60 Pro is fully compatible with the S60-C front and yoke accessories. Based on the proven LiOS software, SkyPanel Pro users can take advantage of the latest software features such as ARRI ALEXA mode.

As part of the SkyPanel family, the SkyPanel S60 Pro meets ARRI’s standard of quality and reliability and is backed by a comprehensive three-year warranty. Its rugged construction and flexibility make it suitable for a wide range of applications, from film and TV studios and location shoots, to live entertainment, photography, theatre and corporate productions.

The SkyPanel S60 Pro is available for pre-order in either blue and silver or all-black color schemes, with either a manual or PO yoke. The previous SkyPanel S60-C will be discontinued with the release of the SkyPanel S60 Pro.
