Sony has released software update and bug fixes for its Cinema Line “FX30”, “FX3” cameras, and α7R V camera. All of the updates can be downloaded from the company’s official website.
The update contents are as follows, per Sony:
ILME-FX30 Ver. 5.00
- When shooting video, you can now choose exposure time from “shutter speed” or “shutter angle”
- You can now assign three different flags to clips during or after video recording: OK/NG/KEEP
- Improved image quality when using User 3D LUT
- Changed the name of the color mode “Pro” in the picture profile to “709tone”
- A notification will now appear if new camera software is available.
- You can now shoot new footage while transferring footage you’ve already shot to your smartphone or tablet.
- Creators’ App needs to be updated to the latest version (ver.2.5.0 or later)
- Transfers to smartphones and tablets can now be resumed even if they are interrupted midway
- Creators’ App needs to be updated to the latest version (ver.2.5.0 or later)
- It is now possible to transfer only the differences that have not been transferred to a smartphone or tablet, and to add footage to be transferred during transfer.
- Creators’ App needs to be updated to the latest version (ver.2.5.0 or later)
- Network streaming support
- You need to set it up in the Creators’ App beforehand. It has been confirmed that you can input SRT to M2 Live.
- Supports Monitor & Control functions
- Wired connection via USB cable
- Checking clips in camera playback mode
- Focus map
- IRIS operation bar display

- “Focus Magnification” and “Automatic Focus Magnification in MF” can now be used during Bright Monitoring
- A notification will now appear if new camera software is available.
- You can now display any custom grid lines
- Added “AF frame position fixation function” that allows the AF priority area to be fixed to a specific position on the screen.
