Venus Optics announced the upcoming release of the line of lenses. Orders began on January 31, 2025. These lenses come in a line of 6 different focal lengths for full-frame sensors, ranging from 15mm to 180mm.

The Sword series offers a comprehensive range of focal lengths from ultra-wide 15mm to 25mm, 35mm, 60mm, 100mm and 180mm, making it a flexible set of macro prime lenses for any shooting scenario.
Each lens in the series is designed to cover the full-frame format, allowing it to capture the high-quality macro images that professionals demand with any camera.
Despite being designed to cover full frame, the Sword series is extremely compact and lightweight, making it easy to mount the camera in a variety of situations, including on gimbals, robotic arms, and more, for more creative filmmaking.
The Sword series is designed to deliver exceptional sharpness and clarity in every shot, accurately capturing every detail from the center to the edge of the frame, and with excellent chromatic aberration correction, it delivers images free of color fringing.
It has excellent macro capabilities, especially with the 60mm and 100mm lenses offering a 2:1 (2x) magnification, allowing for overwhelming close-up photography and clearly capturing the finest textures and nuances.
A variety of bayonets are available separately to provide versatility and convenience for a variety of camera systems, including Canon EF, Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, and L mounts.
