Product Features
The Tokina VISTA-C series of cinema lenses is based on the popular original “VISTA” series, and features new optical elements and coatings that allow for unique visual expression. The lineup includes nine lenses: 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 85mm, 105mm, and 135mm. All lenses have a bright maximum aperture of T1.5 (sold as a set of nine).
Equipped with the latest functions, it offers modern classic expression, including subtle field distortion without the strong spherical aberration found in the already released “VISTA-P” series, soft edges, pleasant bokeh, natural peripheral falloff, and beautiful red and blue flares.
Like its predecessors in the VISTA series, the VISTA-C has a large 46.7mm image circle and is compatible with most cinema camera sensors, including the VistaVision format. Lenses with focal lengths of 35mm and above, except for the 18mm and 25mm, feature an illumination circle that can be used with even larger formats, including the Alexa 65 Open Gate.
By combining it with the existing VISTA and VISTA-P series, or using the VISTA-C alone, the range of expression will be expanded to create new and unique images.
The “C” in VISTA-C stands for Classic.
