KIPON announced the release of the “P67-GFX,” a 0.62x focal reducer adapter for using Pentax 67 lenses on Fujifilm’s medium-format camera GFX system bodies.
The KIPON 0.62x optical focal reducer lens adapter was jointly developed with the Module 8 team, a company with outstanding optical technology. It converts the Pentax 67’s 6×7 format lens into a lens that covers a 44×33 sensor size, greatly widening the lens angle and increasing the amount of light by 1.5 stops.

This highly capable optical system was designed by 13-time Academy Award-winning “Hollywood Optical Designer” Iain Neil. These products are designed specifically for photographers using FUJIFILM GFX cameras.
This adapter allows the combination of medium format cameras and Pentax 67 lenses to achieve outstanding results. One aspect is the focal length. The P67-GFX 0.62x shortens the focal length of the lens, increasing light transmission and effectively opening up a brighter aperture.
For example, an F2.8 lens becomes F2.0. The depth of field becomes deeper. The focal length is shortened by 0.62 times, and the effective length is shortened to provide a wider field of view. This allows the angle of view of the Pentax 67 lens to be perfectly restored on the camera sensor.
