LAOWA’s global distributors announced the start of orders for the new “LAOWA 4.5-10mm F2.8 CF Zoom Fisheye” lens from Venus Optics. As this is a made-to-order product, the delivery time is approximately one month.
This lens is a zoom fisheye lens that allows you to freely switch between two types of expressions: circular fisheye and diagonal fisheye, with just one lens. It achieves a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range and employs a parfocal design that prevents focus shifts during zooming, prioritizing ease of use for the user. It excels in a wide range of genres, including landscapes, cityscapes, action, astrophotography, and dynamic video production.
LAOWA 4.5-10mm F2.8 CF Zoom Product features
One pen for two types of fisheye effect
The lens achieves a 180° circular fisheye effect at 4.5mm and a diagonal fisheye effect that covers the entire screen at 10mm. Because the visual expression can be freely switched simply by zooming, it offers high flexibility for both still photography and video without the need to change lenses.

Achieves a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range.
The LAOWA 4.5-10mm F2.8 CF Zoom maintains a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range. This ensures stable exposure and high image quality even in low-light environments such as nightscapes, astrophotography, and indoor shooting. Furthermore, because the exposure remains constant even while zooming, it is also ideal for video recording.

Minimum focusing distance: 10cm
The minimum focusing distance is just 10cm. This allows for dynamic compositions with bold close-ups to the subject. You can fully enjoy unique visual expression by emphasizing the subject or exaggerating perspective.

Perfocal design
Because the focus position remains constant even when zooming, it is suitable for zooming during video recording. It also allows for efficient shooting during still photography.

Image circle and zoom range optimized for APS-C and MFT.
This feature allows you to capture a full-frame circular fisheye image on both APS-C and Micro Four Thirds (MFT) sensor cameras. Furthermore, the optimized field of view prevents unwanted subjects such as camera grips or fingers from unintentionally appearing in the frame.

Small, lightweight, and highly portable.
With a length of 59.3mm and a weight of approximately 338g, it boasts a compact design. Its size is carefully considered to balance well with APS-C system camera bodies, making it convenient to carry while traveling or outdoors, and also suitable for use with gimbals and drones.
