LAOWA began orders for the new 12mm F2.8 Lite Zero-D FF, a zero-distortion AF and MF ultra-wide-angle lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras, from August 22, 2025.
In addition, a MF model with 14 aperture blades will be released at the same time.
LAOWA 12mm F2.8 Lite Zero-D FF Features
The existing model, the LAOWA 12mm F2.8 Zero-D, is a popular Zero-D lens with virtually no noticeable distortion, despite its ultra-wide 122° angle of view.
This new model inherits the same excellent optical performance, but has been optimized for full-frame mirrorless cameras, achieving a significant weight reduction and autofocus compatibility on some mounts.
Zero Distortion
The Zero-D (Zero Distortion) design allows for natural, almost unnoticeable images without post-processing, making it ideal for architectural and real estate photography, where realistic, distortion-free images are required.

Fast and accurate AF
This product is LAOWA’s second AF-compatible lens, and is equipped with a fast and accurate autofocus mechanism for both Sony E and Nikon Z mounts. It combines the convenience of autofocus with LAOWA’s renowned high image quality. With reliable AF performance, you won’t miss the decisive moment.

Lightweight and compact
Thanks to a design optimized for mirrorless cameras, it is significantly lighter and smaller than previous models. Weighing just 377g and measuring 78.6mm in length (Sony E-mount), it is extremely lightweight and compact, making it ideal for gimbal and drone photography, as well as street photography.

Bright F2.8 large aperture
With a large aperture of F2.8, it is suitable for nightscape and starry sky photography, as well as for creating works that make use of background blur. It also produces sharp images even in dark places.
Minimum focusing distance of 14cm
It is possible to take close-up shots just 14cm from the sensor surface, allowing you to enjoy impactful images similar to those produced by wide-angle macro photography.

ø72mm filter thread
Although it is an ultra-wide-angle lens, it features a versatile 72mm diameter filter frame on the front, allowing you to attach a variety of filters and enjoy a wide range of creative possibilities.

10-point light
It uses five aperture blades, producing a beautiful 10-point light pattern.
