Fujifilm announced the upcoming release of the FUJINON GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR. This new lens is the first GF lens in this particular series, and the first in series with power zoom. The company announced a release date of in late October 2025. The lens has a focal length of 32-90mm (equivalent to 25-71mm in 35mm format). The lens also combines focus and zoom ring operability optimized for video production with elegance, per the company.
What is the FUJINON GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR?
The FUJINON GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR inherits the operability and design of the “Premista Series,” a cinema camera zoom lens that is popular in many video production sites, while achieving a weight reduction of approximately 2.1 kg by adopting a lens configuration and DC motor optimized for electric power zoom.

By minimizing aberrations, the GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR achieves the same high resolution as a prime lens despite being a zoom lens. When combined with the GFX Series cameras, it maximizes the high gradation performance and detailed depiction performance to achieve sophisticated video expression, such as capturing the soft morning light filtering through a window or taking advantage of a shallow depth of field to highlight people.
Bright Aperture
In addition, the lens maintains a bright maximum aperture of T3.5 throughout the entire zoom range, allowing for precise exposure adjustments according to the creator’s intentions. This also helps maintain the consistency of color throughout the entire production, providing advantages in post-production.
When combined with the company’s video production camera, the GFX ETERNA 55, of which its sale date was announced on the same day, the FUJINON GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR will open up new possibilities in video production, establishing a less labor-intensive shooting style in locations where shooting with prime lenses has been the norm for many years, and greatly expanding the freedom of producers.

FUJINON GF32-90mm T3.5 PZ OIS WR Product features
(1) The first GF lens to boast a T3.5 aperture across the entire focal length range, and an electric power zoom lens for video
- This electric power zoom lens has a focal length of 32-90mm (equivalent to 25-71mm in 35mm format)
- Covers the standard range from semi-wide angle.
- When combined with the GFX ETERNA 55, camera-controlled electric zoom possible.
- The lens is constructed with 25 elements in 19 groups.
- Three ED lens elements and three aspherical lens elements.
- By maximizing the characteristics of each lens element, aberrations are effectively suppressed. This allows for a compact design while maintaining a bright T3.5 aperture across the entire zoom range and high resolution performance.
(2) Cinema lens operability combined with a lightweight design reduces the burden of long-term shooting
- In addition to the lens thinning technology cultivated over many years of cinema lens processing, the adoption of a rear focus system has made it possible to achieve a significantly smaller and lighter size and weight with a total length of approximately 222 mm and a weight of approximately 2.1 kg
- Equipped with three rings that allow independent manual operation of focus, zoom, and iris.
- Al of the operation rings use the same 0.8M (module) gear pitch as previous FUJINON cine lenses.
- Standard peripheral accessories essential for video production, such as follow focus and lens motors, can be used.
- The focus ring has a wide rotation angle of 200°, allowing for precise focusing with smooth torque even in scenes with a shallow depth of field.
Note: Gear pitch is distance between the teeth of the gear engraved on the operating ring.
(3) Outstanding imaging performance backed by advanced optical design technology
- Nano GI Coating reduces flare and ghosting caused by light entering from oblique angles, reducing reflection loss and improving light transmittance, resulting in clear imaging performance.
- Unique optical design technology and optimizing the internal structure of the lens body, sudden changes in the angle of view (focus breathing) during focusing are suppressed
- Improves the stability of the composition.
- The GF lens is the first to feature a 13-blade diaphragm that achieves a nearly circular aperture shape.
- This increases the circularity of bokeh even when stopped down slightly from maximum aperture.
(4) Powerful image stabilization performance and fast, smooth, high-precision AF
- Improved camera shake sensing accuracy.
- Optimally designed image stabilization mechanism deliver powerful image stabilization.
- Useful in documentaries and run-and-gun style shooting where camera shake is a major factor.
- High speed motor assures faster zoom and focus accuracy
