Leica announced four new Leica M lenses with distinctive designs. The newest Leica M lenses to the portfolio are the Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/35 ASPH., Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/50 ASPH., and Leica Summicron-M f/2/28 ASPH., all in the distinctive olive green Leica Safari Edition design. Additionally, Leica announced the Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/50 from the Classic Series, finished in glossy black paint.
The Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/35 ASPH Safari, Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/50 ASPH Safari and Leica Summilux-M f/1.4/50 Glossy Black Paint will be available from Saturday, December 13, 2025, while the Leica Summicron-M f/2/28 ASPH. Safari will be available in February 2026 at Leica stores, the Leica online store, Leica boutiques and authorized Leica dealers.

While the performance and structure are the same as the current models in each series, with shorter minimum focusing distances, the compact wide-angle, reportage, and standard focal lengths offer great freedom and flexibility in photographic expression.
