NAB2026 Exhibition Report

At NAB 2026, Z CAM, a brand known to those in the know in Japan, once again made its presence felt. What caught our team’s eye was the new Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount model, “Z CAM E2N Mark II.” April 18th marks when they announced the camera.

What is the Z CAM E2N Mark II ?
At first glance, the size and weight (approximately 660g) haven’t changed much from its predecessor, the E2N. However, seeing the actual camera again after a long time, the strength of the design philosophy condensed into its compact body is striking.
Take a look at the photos below. The palm-sized design is the defining characteristic of the Z CAM, and its presence is even more pronounced when you see it in person.

To trace the lineage of this device, it goes from the original “E2” model announced in 2019, through the “E2N” released in 2023 with streaming applications in mind, to the current “E2N Mark II”. The latest Mark II boasts significant improvements in practicality, including standard support for NDI|HX3, the adoption of 10 Gigabit Ethernet via an RJ45 port, and compatibility with Canon LP-E6 batteries.

In live streaming and event production, the combination of compactness and IP performance is a practical advantage. The Z CAM E2N Mark II comes with equipment well-suited for live production environments. The design philosophy of the Z CAM is evident in how it packs the network functions required in the field into this size. It is one of the options to watch in the future of the live streaming field.
