GODOX announced their newest monoblock flash unit “AD800Pro,” suitable for a variety of shooting situations.
Main features of GODOX AD800Pro
The GODOX AD800Pro, a TTL-compatible monoblock flash, features a high light output of 800Ws. However, this light comes powered with a battery.
The battery allows for up to 300 full-power flashes on a single charge. In addition to the battery, it can also be operated with an optional AC adapter, allowing for optimal power supply depending on the location of use.
Equipped with the receiving function of the GODOX 2.4GHz wireless “X” system, it is compatible with various GODOX “X” series transmitters that support TTL for cameras from major manufacturers, and can be wirelessly controlled with GODOX camera flashes that have a transmitting function.
The X3 and X3Pro wireless triggers (coming soon) support quick sync pairing, allowing for instant wireless connection. Triggering with a 3.5mm plug sync cord is also possible.
The output can be precisely adjusted in 0.1 increments within the range of 1/512 to 1/1. It features a variety of modes such as “Freeze,” “Color Temperature,” “High-Speed Sync,” and “Multi-Flash,” allowing for flexible adaptation to different subjects.
Equipped with a Bowens mount, it can be used with a wide range of Bowens mount accessories from Godox and Native.
It features a 40W modeling lamp. It’s dimmable from 10% to 100%, boasts high color rendering with a CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 98, and the color temperature is adjustable from 2800 to 6000K.
Auto power saving can be turned on or off. After use, the device will automatically power off after a specified period of 30 to 120 minutes.
