Sony on August 18, 2026, unfortunately announced that the release date of its professional camcorder “FX5,” which was scheduled for August 21, 2026 ( Friday), as announced in a press release on July 22, 2026 (Wednesday), will be postponed due to production issues. The release of related accessories, “DVF-EL1,” “XLR-H2,” and “VMC-BNCU1,” will also be postponed.
Sony additionally stated that they will announce the release date once it is confirmed. We accordingly will further announce the updated release date.
