Nikon announced the company released the latest firmware for its Z5II mirrorless camera and its fixed-lens COOLPIX P1000 digital camera. Firmware can be downloaded from the company’s website. Users of Nikon’s proprietary app are also able to download the firmware update from the app.

■ Firmware for Z5II (Ver. 1.20)
- Still image photography related
- The range of values that can be set in [Still Image Shooting Menu] > [ISO Sensitivity Settings] > [Slow Speed Limit Settings] has been changed.
- Still image/video shooting related
- The names of the Picture Control-related items have been changed as follows:
- Change the name of the item in [Cloud Picture Control] to [Imaging Recipe].
- In the still image shooting/video shooting menu, change [Picture Control] > [Register Cloud Picture Control] to [Download Imaging Recipe].
- The names of the Picture Control-related items have been changed as follows:
- Operation-related
- [When registering user settings] has been added to [Setup Menu] > [Remember focus position].
- Display related
- [Automatic monitor display switching] has been added to the [Setup Menu].
- Network related
- [Network Menu] > [Connect to Smartphone] > [Wi-Fi Connection (Access Point Mode)] now includes the option [Always Enable Wi-Fi].
- [Network Menu] > [Connect to FTP Server] > [Options] now includes [Timeout on Inactivity].
- others
- The aperture limit has been removed in shutter-priority mode when shooting video.
■ Firmware for COOLPIX P1000 (Ver. 1.9)
- Fixed an issue where the camera would occasionally become unresponsive when shooting in burst mode while zooming in.
