Avid Content Core’s continuous expansion
At the heart of the AVID at IBC2026 exhibit is the award-winning Avid Content Core. A year after its debut at IBC2025, it continues to evolve as the intelligence layer connecting Avid’s agentic ecosystem across news and post-production.

At IBC2026, Avid will introduce native asset management capabilities that connect media across customers’ own cloud and on-premises environments, including Avid NEXIS, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and other third-party storage, making it easy to index, search, manage, and edit content no matter where it’s stored. Going beyond traditional MAM (Media Asset Management), this understanding of “connected media” provides the foundation for “agent-based” automation to run within a trusted production workflow without having to migrate all data to a single repository.
“It’s exciting to see Avid Content Core expand and tackle a real opportunity to connect media’s creative and operations departments and gain a clearer understanding of how individual pieces of content are produced and what value they create,” Avid’s CEO, Welford Dillard, commented.
Avid Content Core bridges that gap, providing organizations with insights to understand how their content is produced and what resources are used. This is a significant step forward, enabling teams to tell stories with deeper business insights and editorial credibility from within a system they already know and trust.

Agent-Based Media Experiences
Attendees at IBC2026 will be able to see through demonstrations how Avid leverages “agent-based media experiences” across its entire portfolio to help teams create, collaborate on, and distribute content more efficiently.
The demo includes the following:
- A unified planning, modern rundown, production, and publishing workflow across news
production platforms Avid Content Core, MediaCentral, and Wolftech News. This includes story development, social media distribution, and a next-generation newsroom experience that helps teams deliver content faster across all platforms. Through Content Core Insights, you can measure and manage production costs and resources from planning to performance with unprecedented transparency across your entire editorial ecosystem. - An agent-based editing experience spanning post-production
Media Composer and Avid Content Core. Leverage Avid Content Core’s media intelligence to understand media identification, location, metadata, and production context. Designed for enterprise-level creative collaboration and supported by Avid NEXIS, these technology previews demonstrate how editing teams can improve workflow while maintaining creative control. - Audio Post-Production
The latest Pro Tools innovations for audio post-production enable creative teams to produce world-class audio even in increasingly complex production environments. Key features include support for the immersive broadcast standard MPEG-H, as well as a preview of new and powerful integrations that streamline audio post-production from editing and ADR to the final mix.
