The Nikon Z f has been one of the most discussed cameras since its release in October of 2023. Indeed, its popularity has also resulted in a significant backorder which has yet to be cleared. But how does this camera perform on the streets? How does this full-frame camera operate, and how does it feel in the hands of someone who uses cameras almost daily? Is this camera worth the $2500 price tag for a kit, or is the sister Z fc the better option?
We at PRONEWS Global got ahold of a Nikon Z f sample unit from Nikon themselves to review in late January, 2024. One of the focus points on this camera was not only its functionality but its video performance. Thierry and I took it out on the streets around my office in Tokyo to test out a variety of settings.
In a future article, I will go over my full thoughts on the Nikon Z f, and include more sample images taken from the camera, both edited and straight from the camera.
