Blackmagic Design has announced new pricing for Blackmagic Cloud Store network storage. The new prices for each model are as follows.
■Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini 8TB
- New suggested retail price: 348,800 yen including tax
- Old suggested retail price: 427,800 yen including tax
■Blackmagic Cloud Store 20TB
- New suggested retail price: 1,128,000 yen including tax
- Old suggested retail price: 1,378,000 yen including tax
■Blackmagic Cloud Store 80TB
- New suggested retail price: 3,408,000 yen
- Old suggested retail price: 4,288,000 yen
The price reduction of up to 880,000 yen is said to have been realized by lowering the price of high-speed flash storage parts. The new pricing makes high-performance network storage more affordable for users who want to share large media files with the world in minutes.
Blackmagic Cloud Store and Cloud Store Mini are fast, high performance network-connectable drives, designed to handle the huge media files used in Hollywood feature films. High-performance flash memory is used, allowing many users to use it simultaneously. Live sync with Dropbox and Google Drive allows files to be exchanged between multiple units around the world. Even with a low-cost Internet connection, it claims to be able to access local files very fast.
