K-Tek has announced the KC108, a 5-section essential boom pole, as a new addition to its “Avalon” telescopic pole. The KC108 folds compactly to 74.9cm and can be extended to 275cm to meet the diverse sound needs of professional content creators and soundboom operators.
The KC108 is a lightweight pole that allows beginner boom operators to cost-effectively hone their skills and crews on a tight budget to benefit from professional-style gear. Using K-Tek’s proprietary new high-density tubing, the K-Tek KC108 is made in the USA and weighs just 544g, yet is incredibly sturdy. Features a 3/8″-16 male threaded locking top attachment for external cables and an anodized surface collar that provides a firm grip and smooth bite. The smooth finish of the tube makes each section easy to open and close.
When folded, it fits in standard 1650 and 1637 pericases or medium-sized luggage, making it convenient for travel. The KC108 is manufactured at K-Tek’s original shop in Vista, California.
