Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA) will hold the “CP+ 2024” industrial show for cameras, photography and video in February 2024. This event will be a hybrid event, featuring on-site and online events.
The previous “CP+ 2023” was the first hybrid event with a venue event and an online event. According to a survey of participants, about 80% of the participants wanted the next CP+ to be a hybrid event, so CP+ 2024 will also be held as a hybrid style event, featuring the main venue event in Yokohama, and the online event.
CP+ introduces the latest photographic/imaging equipment products, technologies, and services, conveys the future of the photographic/imaging equipment industry and the enjoyment and spread of photographic/imaging culture, and promotes the revitalization of the photographic/imaging industry.
In today’s era, when people around the world take photos and videos in a variety of situations, the event is aiming to be positioned as an annual event for everyone from beginners to professionals who love photography and video, with the theme of “shooting, viewing, and connecting.” Basically, CP+ organizers aim to make 2024 an event not just for the pros, but for those who are casuals.
Planned Events for CP+ 2024
CIPA will hold various projects and events in CP+ 2024, where visitors can enjoy learning regardless of their level. In 2024, the plan is to carry out projects that approach young people, families, and beginners using the Pacifico Yokohama venue and online venue.
“My Free Zone:” Fun, connected, and learning space
Last year, this exhibition was held for the first time and was well received, and will be held again this year. Students in photo clubs and video clubs, as well as young people who are familiar with photos and videos, mainly on SNS, will become new resident exhibitors of CP+, and learn about the fun of CP+ as a communication space to create a new community.
Various stages and workshops are scheduled to be held as a project to encourage the challenge of new things and things, including the exhibition of works and activity introductions by participating in circles.

- Open Stage/Workshop Stage
- An open stage will be set up in the venue. A number of programs for beginners are planned to be prepared with the aim of increasing the interest in photography and video among young people and beginners in attendance and stepping them up.
SNS photo contest
A photo contest will be held using SNS such as Instagram for the CP+ exhibition period. More details on this will be announced in due time.
Excursion plan in the venue
Exhibitor booth tours departing from and arriving at “My Free Zone” will be held. Visitors can be taken on tours to a variety of booths, and introduce products in the booths. In addition, a new food truck area will be set up for a new variety of dining options for visitors.
New product exhibition “World Premiere”
CP+ is attracting attention as one of the world’s leading venues for world premieres of new products in the field of camera and video equipment. As an homage, Salon de la Photo in Paris, France will also adopt a common world premiere logo.
