Therefore, no matter what aperture value or focal length, it is possible to take sharp pictures of every corner of the subject. This new zoom lens has 18 elements in 13 groups to correct chromatic aberration, and three aspherical lenses ensure the best rendering performance for still images and videos.
With an ultra-wide focal length range of 14-24mm, it can be used for a wide range of shooting purposes, from architectural and interior photography to close-up reportage to landscape photography.
The glass surface of the lens is multi-coated and equipped with a fixed metal lens hood. This is to prevent stray light from entering the lens. The lens hood also serves as a solid protection for the strong, curved front lens.
A special filter holder is included on the bayonet mount side of the Leica Super Vario Elmarito SL f2.8/14–24mm ASPH. This ultra-wide-angle zoom lens can cover a wide focal length range when used in combination with the standard zoom lens “Leica Vario Elmarito SL f2.8/24–70mm ASPH.”
Super Apo Summicron SL f2/21mm ASPH
The Leica Super Apo Summicron SL f2/21mm ASPH is the world’s first Apo lens with a focal length of 21mm. This lens delivers the quality that professionals demand, with consistently sharp depictions right down to the edges. It joins the Apo Summicron SL lens lineup, which represents the highest level of performance in photography. It also boasts reliable high-speed autofocus using Dual Synchro DriveTM.
Suitable for landscapes, indoors, reportage, studio photography, and architectural photography, even in difficult situations. The short minimum shooting distance of 21cm allows reliable captures of fine details. Finally, the large aperture allows users to freely control sharpness and bokeh.
This is a high-performance lens with 14 elements in 11 groups. 3 groups of which are aspherical, demonstrating excellent descriptive performance. The lens’ apochromatic correction is of the highest quality among lenses of comparable focal length. It is used in most lens elements. High technology is also demonstrated in high-quality glass.
