Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 19 Public Beta 2. It can be downloaded from the DaVinci Resolve site.
This version is an update that improves and fixes bugs for the DaVinci Resolve 19 public beta. Added ability to wipe grades and apply grades to clip or active node stack layers. This lets you compare grades by wiping between stills in the gallery and items in the timeline. After setting it up, users can choose whether to apply grades to individual layers or the entire clip.
This update also supports safe area overlays that can be used in the editing timeline, and the ability to display the overlays during playback in the cut page and edit page viewers. This allows you to easily check and position materials such as logos and titles so that they are always displayed properly without being cropped.
Improved ability to trim audio for MOV and MP4 video files when using media management tools. You can now trim unnecessary parts of FLAC or MP3 audio to save space.
Additionally, this update brings back the ability to choose whether to update DaVinci Resolve projects to the latest version when opening them. In the future, when you open an old project, you will be asked to back up the project first. After, a prompt to the newer update to the latest version of the software will come up.
Also, many bugs in public data have been fixed. These include fixing an issue where you couldn’t copy and paste transitions in the editing timeline, allowing compositions with alpha layers to be used over other clips, and adding compositions to Fusion clips. This includes reinstatement of the middle-click feature to apply and the sync feature to the Conversation Separator tool.
