Blackmagic Design has released public beta update 5 of DaVinci Resolve 19. It is available for download from the Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve web page.
This update adds further improvements to the DaVinci public beta. Such improvements include the ability for the multiview layout on the cut page to fit the viewer width, optimizing the multiview layout to show all sources with the minimum of blank space.
Additionally, the transition type, length and justification can now be set via the timeline context menu on the cut page, providing quick and easy access to these commonly changed features while editing. Additionally, the render cache status can now be displayed on the timeline on the cut page, allowing you to monitor whether caching is running or completed.
This update also adds new options to the ResolveFX film look creator to mimic different film stocks, allowing users to simulate their favorite film looks and adjust them according to their vision. Additionally, DaVinci Resolve now preserves video clip metadata when syncing audio and video files. Users can choose to use either audio or video metadata to preserve shot, scene and take information. Additionally, speed changes in the inspector are now keyframe aware. This allows users to add speed changes to a clip and adjust the clip playback speed between keyframes in the timeline or inspector.
DaVinci Resolve Studio has received a performance upgrade. AI performance on Intel-powered Windows systems (where supported) is up to 3x faster. This means faster workflows when using AI tools like Magic Mask, text-based timeline editing, music remix, dialogue separation, IntelliTrack AI and UltraNR noise reduction. Additionally, the Studio version of DaVinci Resolve 19 Beta 5 now includes automatic SDR to HDR tone mapping and 2x and 4x SuperScale options for Windows with supported Nvidia GPUs.
