Kenko Tokina announced the upcoming release of the Fujifilm X-mount version of the Tokina atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 X on March 14, 2025.
This new lens is the Fujifilm X-mount model of the “atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 X,” which realizes Tokina’s unique low distortion and beautiful bokeh, and is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for APS-C mirrorless cameras. It is ideal for dynamic landscape photography that makes the most of the wide angle of view and perspective, nightscape and starry sky photography, technical portrait photography, and video shooting using a gimbal.
A large aperture of F2.8 covers a wide range from wide-angle to wide-angle
The Tokina atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 X for Fujifilm X Mount covers a 35mm equivalent angle of view of 16.5mm to 27mm at F2.8, giving it the range of use of about four prime lenses. This angle of view is also convenient when used in combination with a standard zoom lens with an open F value of F2.8.

The best lenses for videography
This product has a focal length equivalent to several prime lenses, making it an effective tool for video shooting, and is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens designed specifically for APS-C cameras, achieving an aperture value of F2.8. It achieves low distortion, high resolution in the peripheral areas, and good color balance.
Lightweight and easy to carry around at just 320g
It fits in the palm of your hand, with a maximum diameter of 74.4mm and a total length of 74.4mm. The filter size is also small and lightweight at 67mm.

Ideal for gimbal videography
Because it is smaller and lighter, it can be used for shooting with a smaller gimbal, even when attached to a mirrorless camera and placed on a gimbal.

Micro USB terminal on the mounting surface
By connecting to a computer, users can update the firmware themselves (the photo shows a Sony E-mount camera).

High resolution all the way to the periphery
Thanks to its optical design that maintains high resolution all the way to the edges of the screen, the ATX-M 11-18mm F2.8 X is said to depict subjects sharply and precisely.
Low distortion
When taking advantage of the perspective unique to ultra-wide-angle lenses, straight lines appear curved with lenses that have a lot of distortion. The ATX-M 11-18mm F2.8 X suppresses distortion, allowing straight lines to appear as straight lines.

Technical portraits using perspective
Shooting in the ultra-wide 11-18mm (16.5-27mm in 35mm equivalent) range makes it possible to express a sense of perspective that exceeds that of the naked eye. When shooting portraits, by positioning the person’s face near the center of the screen, it is possible to express the face naturally while deforming the other parts.

Minimum shooting distance: 19cm (at 11mm)
In response to the demand for an ultra-wide-angle lens that can capture a large image and a wide background, the minimum shooting distance on the 11mm side has been shortened to 19cm (minimum shooting distance at 18mm is 30cm).
