Leica Camera AG (hereinafter referred to as Leica) announced they teamed up with Burton, a well-known snowboarding equipment brand, to release a special limited edition model, the Leica Sofort 2 Burton Edition, on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Jake Burton Carpenter, a pioneer of snowboarding and founder of Burton, dedicated his life to snowboarding and developed it into the world-class sport we know today. Jake Burton would take photos of his friends and family with his beloved Leica camera, following his inspiration and displaying them on a corkboard in his kitchen. To celebrate his extraordinary vision, the Leica SOFORT2 “Burton Edition” was born.
The Leica SOFORT 2 “Burton Edition” is inspired by a special blue color called “Jake Blue” and features a striking pattern and Burton logo on the top cover of the camera. The product also comes with a practical Burton camera bag.
This compact and modern instant camera combines the analog charm of instant photography with the ease of digital photography. Not only can you print selected photos directly, but if you pair it with Leica’s dedicated app, Leica FOTOS, you can also import and print images taken with a smartphone or other Leica cameras via the app.
In addition to various modes such as selfie, landscape photography, and macro photography, it is equipped with 10 lens effects and 10 film effects to provide the best shooting experience.
