Bright Tangerine unveiled the the HALO, a universal camera cage system.
The company is a UK-based camera accessories maker and announced a number of new products in recent days.
What is the Bright Tangerine Halo?
Conventional camera cages mainly use a method in which a plate is bolted directly to the camera body, which has issues such as time-consuming setup and the need to replace the entire rig every time you change cameras.
The new Halo is a universal camera system that solves this problem: instead of being directly attached to the camera, it quickly attaches and detaches via industry-standard 15mm rods, allowing for seamless setup with any camera, from compact mirrorless cameras to full-scale cinema cameras.
The universal design means you can upgrade your camera without having to replace the cage. This design ensures use of this cage well into the future.
It can also be mounted to a universal dovetail for even more versatility. Quickly switch between tripod and gimbal use, for example. The cage offers a wide range of accessory mounting options, including 1/4″ and 3/8″ threaded holes, an ARRI accessory mount (MAP M4), NATO rails, and QD sockets. In general, this camera cage design keeps ease of use and universality in mind.
