IBC2025

The SENNHEISER Group will be exhibiting at IBC 2025, which will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands from September 12th to 15th, 2025. The exhibition booth will feature audio solutions for professional media content and entertainment experiences.
At the exhibition booth [8D50] in the Audio Hall, visitors can experience the group’s audio solutions for recording, monitoring and playout, including Neumann’s new products.
The best of past and present
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the SENNHEISER at IBC 2025 booth will feature rare archive footage that tells the story of the company’s rich broadcasting history, alongside the latest audio technology. The company will also showcase cutting-edge solutions, including its wideband wireless ecosystem “Spectera” and narrowband “EW-DX.”

The MKH 8018 Stereo Shotgun completes the MKH 8000 series.
Following the MKH 8030 bidirectional microphone, broadcasters and filmmakers will be able to experience the latest addition to SENNHEISER’s bidirectional microphone series, the MKH 8018 stereo shotgun microphone, at the booth.
Providing flexibility to audio engineers, the weather-resistant and rugged MKH 8018 features three switchable stereo modes: MS Stereo, XY Narrow and XY Wide, which allow for incremental adjustment of spatial imaging.
These are pre-mixed within the MKH 8018, with settings fine-tuned through extensive user testing.Add to that a built-in -10dB pad, a broadcast-ready frequency response of 40-20,000Hz, and a compact, lightweight aluminum housing, and you have an exceptional pro microphone.

SoundBase, the world’s first brand-neutral RF planning tool
The SoundBase team will be invited as guests at the SENNHEISER at IBC 2025 booth to demonstrate the company’s world-first universal wireless audio management software.
In today’s production environments, when adjusting wireless microphones and monitors, RF managers and monitor engineers have to use multiple software tools for each brand.
SoundBase addresses this fragmented workflow challenge that has plagued the industry for years. Developed by audio industry veterans Matt Dale and Donny Kuser, the app integrates with all major audio manufacturers’ equipment, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications during critical production moments. This streamlines wireless coordination and centralizes communication for seamless remote collaboration.

Spectera and SoundBase demonstration
Demonstrations of the SoundBase RF planning tool and Spectera, the world’s first two-way wideband wireless ecosystem, will be held on Friday the 12th, Saturday the 13th, and Sunday the 14th during the event.
- Spectera Demo Sessions: 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- SoundBase Demo Sessions: Noon and 3 PM
If it is difficult for you to attend at the above time, you can attend the presentations that will be held at booth 8D50 from time to time.
Networked Neumann and Merging Area
Neumann will have a dedicated studio area where they will be showcasing their lineup of studio monitors with 7.1.4 immersive setups, as well as their new subwoofers with multi-channel bass management, which will be unveiled at IBC 2025.
Also on display will be Neumann’s BCM 104 broadcast microphone, capsule heads for wireless systems, MCM miniature clip microphones, TLM 102 and TLM 107, as well as legendary microphones with a long history such as the U 87 Ai, U 67, U 47 fet and M 49 V.
There will also be an exhibit of another legend, the KU 100 dummy head microphone, celebrating its 34th anniversary, which is still considered the easiest way to create realistic immersive audio.

As part of the Immersive Studio/OB Van area, Merging Technologies, a Neumann company, will be showcasing the Pyramix 15 DAW and Hapi Mk III modular audio interface.
The desktop audio interfaces Merging Anubis and Neumann MT 48 will also be demoed, showcasing the new OSC control feature that allows fader operation and parameter changes via third-party hardware controllers.
The studio area runs on the Ravenna AES 67 network and connects to a second demo area of the Neumann/Merging showcase, which also uses the Dante AES 67 network. Immersive monitoring with Neumann’s new plug-in RIME can be experienced using NDH 20 and NDH 30 headphones.
There will also be a demo of Merging Technologies’ cutting-edge Ovation playout system and show sequencer. The latest version, Version 11, features a new design with a sophisticated dark mode interface, further improving operability. The new, highly customizable mixer, panner, and renderer flexibly support any workflow, including stereo, multi-zone, and immersive.
AMBEO 2-Channel Spatial Audio: Real-time immersive rendering for stereo broadcast
Delivering an immersive audio experience without disrupting the audience or complicating the signal path remains a major challenge for live broadcasts. The AMBEO 2-Channel Spatial Audio Live Renderer solves this problem by rendering immersive content into the stereo-compatible AMBEO format in real time.
The two-channel output preserves spatial depth and positioning and is optimized for playback on any stereo system, improving audio clarity – no additional decoding or hardware is required.

Powered by a proprietary immersive audio algorithm, AMBEO generates a hardware-independent, downstream-compatible signal that preserves the creative intent and immersive quality of the original mix, offering broadcasters and streaming providers a significantly enhanced listening experience while maintaining their stereo distribution path.
At the exhibition booth, visitors will be able to experience this technology integrated into the Merging ANUBIS device, demonstrating its low-latency performance and seamless integration into existing live production workflows.
