Lake Platz Co released the “Adapter Ring for SONY FE 14mm F1.8 GM Filter Holder Mark III” from its H&Y filter line. With the lens’s unique diameter, there is a need for a special filter mount for this lens.
This product is an ultra-wide-angle lens adapter compatible with the 100mm K-Series Filter Holder Mark III. The adapter ring can be attached to the SONY FE 14mm F1.8 GM, allowing you to use the lens without compromising its compact size, making it a highly convenient product.
Note: For H&Y K series square filters only. Drop-in filters such as CPL cannot be used.

Up to two square filters can be stacked, and it is also possible to combine a half ND with a full ND filter, a light pollution cut filter, a soft filter, etc. H&Y’s Mark 3 system, which has evolved to be even easier to use than the existing K series square filters and features a more comprehensive cap system, is said to accelerate filter work.

Vignetting
- When using one square filter: No vignetting. Small vignetting occurs only when the holder is rotated significantly.
- When using two square filters: No vignetting. If the holder is rotated up to about 15°, it can be used without vignetting.
What is the K Series Mark 3?
The biggest difference from previous models is the way the adapter ring is attached to the filter holder. Before the Mark 2, it was attached by dropping it into the back of the holder and tightening it with a locking screw, but with the Mark 3, it is attached with a magnet with one touch and has a sliding lock, allowing for even faster setup.
The filter follows the well-established K series
The popular H&Y magnetic square filter and drop-in filter for the K series holder can be used as is, so the speedy usability of the magnetic and drop-in type remains the same.
Connect the square filter holder and adapter ring with one touch
By using the same adapter ring as the REVORING Swift system’s magnetic adapter (thin frame adapter for wide-angle lenses) [RM-AR], one-touch setup is possible, saving significant time. *The adapter ring is sold separately.
Benefits of changing the adapter ring
It now supports a 95mm filter diameter (previous models only supported up to 86mm), which was not possible with previous models. This contributes to a slimmer overall system and is more resistant to vignetting than previous models.
A more secure locking system
The filter holder and adapter ring are connected with a sliding two-point locking mechanism, and the magnetic square filters are equipped with a locking screw, a feature adopted in Mark II holders and later. This has been improved to prevent the square filter from coming off even if it is hit from behind. While maintaining the light and easy setting of the magnetic system, securing the filter reduces the risk of loss in situations where it may accidentally fall off or where you don’t want to drop the filter, such as by a river.
A more comprehensive cap system
Previous models were only compatible with the magnetic holder cap [LC100] that was attached to the filter holder, but the new model can also use the magnetic cap [LC-82F] (compatible with all sizes of adapter ring [RM-AR]), which can be attached directly to the adapter ring with the holder removed.
