Atomos has announced the “Sumo PRO-19,” a 19-inch 4K HDR-compatible monitor recorder and switcher designed for film production and video village environments. This product is a significant evolution of the widely adopted “Sumo 19SE.”
More than just a display device, it’s designed to serve as a central control hub for collaboration on set by adding camera control and Camera to Cloud (C2C) connectivity capabilities.
What is the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 ?
The Atomos Sumo PRO-19 provides highly accurate and reliable monitoring and control, from lighting and exposure management to final image review, helping creators make informed creative decisions.

Advanced recording functions and a variety of monitoring tools
This product supports recording from SDI or HDMI sources using Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, Avid DNx, and H.265 codecs, achieving image quality up to 10-bit 4:2:2. Furthermore, it supports RAW workflows up to 8K.
The media supports internal recording to high-speed CFexpress cards and external recording to USB-C storage, providing flexible options for high-data-rate workflows. It also functions as a secure backup recorder for redundancy and as an instant review station for directors and clients.

Built-in monitoring tools include EL Zone false color, focus peaking, waveform monitor, log-to-LUT display, frame guide, and anamorphic desqueeze. Newly added user-definable function buttons allow for quick access to frequently used tools.

Enhanced camera control and network connectivity
The Sumo PRO-19 provides control over key camera parameters such as start/stop, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance, as well as touch focus functionality, for compatible cameras. This enables remote control when the camera is mounted on a crane or rig, making direct access to the camera body difficult.
In terms of connectivity, it features built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and supports cloud-based collaboration. Because video can be uploaded directly to services such as ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, and Dropbox, it enables near real-time review and production cycles even among distributed teams.
Furthermore, AirGlu timecode technology ensures precise synchronization with equipment within the set, and it supports NDI HX3 transmission and reception, enabling broadcast-quality video transmission over a standard network. In terms of audio, it features two full-size XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, achieving precise audio and video synchronization.

Sales price and main specifications
The main features of the Sumo PRO-19 are as follows:
The monitor comes equipped with a 19-inch 4K HDR DCI-P3 monitor and supports recording up to 8Kp30 via SDI/HDMI. It has a multi-camera monitoring function that allows simultaneous recording of up to four independent camera feeds (ISO) and one program output.
The chassis features a new design and is engineered to be a central component in modern on-set production and DIT workflows. It also supports over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates.
The Sumo PRO-19 is currently available for pre-order, with shipments scheduled to begin in May 2026. For more details, please visit the official website (www.atomos.com).
