Inter BEE 2024 Booth Review
The Blackmagic Design booth, located at the back corner of Inter BEE 2024, was arguably the most bustling booth throughout the event. A large touch and try set featuring retro-styling models and props faced a bank of popular cameras that Blackmagic debuted in the last few years. In this review, let’s go over some of the featured gear at the Blackmagic Design booth at Inter BEE 2024.
Blackmagic Ursa Cine Immersive
Inside of a large display case was the initial prototype of the upcoming Blackmagic Ursa Cine Immersive. Designed with VR systems such as the Apple Vision Pro, this camera, looking to be released in July next year, consists of dual 8K sensors with fisheye lenses. The camera can shoot stereoscopic 90 frames per second with a wide 16 stops of dynamic range in Blackmagic RAW Immersive files. Simply importing the files to DaVinci allows for immersive editing. It will be very exciting to see how this camera operates.
Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro
Announced earlier this year and displayed as part of an ATEM setup, the Studio Camera 6K Pro was impressive. The 6K sensor may seem overkill for a studio setting, but with frequent movement, the stability of this camera is second to none. The controls on the screen allow for precise color controls and light controls. Additionally, the Studio Camera 6K uses the new L-mount full frame system. The L-mount line of lenses continues to grow, and, when paired with controllers, allow for cinematic-quality imaging in broadcast studios.
Blackmagic PYXIS
The most popular camera at their booth was arguably the new PYXIS 6K. With an impressive price point of $3,000 US dollars, this camera, compact and versatile, produces beautiful cinematic quality shots for TV and film, but also making it available within the price range of YouTube producers. Additionally, this camera has a large-format open gate 6K sensor and 3 mounts available – PL, Locking EF, and L-mount, this camera looks to be revolutionary. We are aiming to test out the camera within the next year. Stay tuned to our channels for when these reviews drop!!
