SIGMA 23mm F1.4 DC DN|Contemporary is a large-diameter wide-angle lens designed exclusively for APS-C mirrorless cameras that use the Fujifilm X-mount.

The SIGMA 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary has an easy-to-use angle of view equivalent to 35mm in 35mm format, as well as the brightness and high descriptive power of a large aperture of F1.4. The optical system uses a luxurious configuration of 13 elements in 10 groups, including 3 SLD glass elements and 2 aspherical lenses, resulting in clear and sharp images. With the aperture wide open, this lens maintains excellent resolution.

Furthermore, the brightness of the large aperture of F1.4 allows for large and beautiful bokeh expressions. The lens is compact enough to fit in the palm of a hand, allowing users to enjoy the rich descriptive power that only a mirrorless camera can provide. Careful flare and ghost countermeasures allow for clear shots, even in backlit environments.

The SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary, which was released in 2020 as a super-telephoto zoom DG DN version for full-size mirrorless cameras, has now been added for the FUJIFILM X mount lineup, as well. With this, SIGMA’s Fujifilm X-mount lens lineup has expanded to six. This lens is also an APS-C size single focus, for large aperture F1.4 mirrorless (16mm, 23mm, 30mm, 56mm), F2.8 continuous zoom (18-50mm), covering from wide angle to super telephoto.

The mounted switch has also been optimized for the Fujifilm X mount, and is equipped with an “AF function setting switch” that allows function selection when pressing the AF function button on the lens side.

The SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS|Contemporary for Fujifilm X-mount, the sixth X-mount model, is a super-telephoto zoom lens that covers an angle of view equivalent to 150-600mm in the 35mm format. With a compact design with a length of 199.5mm, a maximum diameter of 86mm, and a weight of 1,135g, this lens is capable of covering a super-telephoto range equivalent to 600mm. This is essentially a super-telephoto lens on a super-compact but powerful Fujifilm X-mount system. By using the SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras on an APS-C format X-mount body, this demonstrates extremely high rendering performance to the extreme edges.

The lens construction consists of 22 elements in 16 groups, with 1 FLD and 4 SLD elements to effectively correct various aberrations. The latest optical design and optimization for mirrorless systems provide high resolution and uniform image quality to the edges. In addition, it maintains stable and high optical performance at all focal lengths, including the intermediate focal range from the wide end to the telephoto end, and from long distances to close-ups, demonstrating the true value of a zoom lens.

In addition to fast and comfortable AF using a stepping motor optimized for Fujifilm’s X series cameras, the lens is also equipped with a powerful image stabilization (OS) mechanism equivalent to approximately 5 stops. The lens body includes an AF function setting switch that allows you to select AF lock/AF operation, a focus limiter switch that allows users to optimize the AF range depending on the shooting purpose, and a zoom ring that locks rotation at the wide end position, making it easy to carry. A zoom lock switch prevents the lens barrel from stretching due to its own weight, and can be switched to two correction modes: Image Stabilization Mode 1, which is suitable for general photography, and Image Stabilization Mode 2, which is ideal for panning shots of motor sports, etc. It has an OS switch.

Furthermore, the straight-line zoom function allows users to zoom by grabbing the hood, allowing for intuitive and quick framing. It supports “dual action zoom” which allows users to operate it in two ways: zoom ring and straight zoom.

As a super telephoto zoom that can be enjoyed with Sigma Contemporary line lights, it combines a focal length of 100-400mm and the necessary functions into a compact and lightweight lens body. In addition to being lightweight, the tripod mount, which requires the most strength, uses magnesium parts to achieve both lightweightedness and robustness.

A tripod mount (sold separately) is available to allow for combination with camera bodies of various sizes. Photographers can use it for long periods of time without worrying about the strain on the camera body. The included strap can be used with the tripod mount, reducing the load on the mount when carrying or moving.
