Blackmagic Design has updated their camera app for iPhones, the Blackmagic Camera App. Version 1.2.1 is now available for free download from the Apple App Store.
This new update supports flipping images vertically or horizontally when using SLR lenses. If you’re using an SLR lens that reverses the image, your footage will now display properly on your iPhone, making it easier to frame your shots.
It also supports the selection of lower ISO settings, allowing you to set the camera to the lowest supported ISO value, allowing you to obtain high-quality images when shooting in bright conditions. LUT handling has also been improved, so when loading a LUT that is already in a file, Blackmagic Camera will now ask if you want to save a copy or replace the existing LUT.
More details about the Blackmagic Camera can be seen in our previous coverage, in this article.
