Sony has released main unit software update Ver.2.00 for its “HVL-F60RM2” and “HVL-F46RM” high-power flashes. The details are as follows, quoted from the release notes.
Now supports global shutter synchronization shooting in all shutter areas. By using a camera equipped with a global shutter image sensor, you can synchronize the flash and take pictures over the entire shutter speed range of the camera. This enables more efficient flash exposure than traditional high-speed synchro photography (HSS).
Added flash charge priority setting. Setting [CHG PRIORITY] to [STABLE] takes longer to charge than when setting it to [NORMAL], but allows for more stable light emission.
