Nikon Corporation started offering the latest versions of firmware for its Digital SLR cameras, the Nikon D780 and Nikon D6. These can be downloaded from the company’s website. Additionally, software upgrades for the NX Studio proprietary software was released.
Nikon D6 and D780 Firmware Update contents
D780 Firmware (Ver. 1.20)
- Fixed an issue where black bands of unevenness could appear in images when taking still images with the following settings:
- Still image live view mode
- Silent Shooting (Still Image Level): [On]
- In shooting mode M or A, set the aperture to near minimum.
D6 firmware (Ver. 1.70)
- Fixed an issue where, when assigning [Call Shooting Function (Hold)] to a custom button and using this function to take a photo, the image would occasionally be recorded with overexposure.
NX Studio (Ver. 1.9.1)
The following issues have been fixed in this update:
- NX Studio may crash when printing.
- When printing on a paper size larger than A3, part of the image may not be printed.
- Even if you press the login button, the login screen does not appear and NX Studio may close.
- When using Flexible Color and pixel shift photography with 8 or 32 frames, pixel shift compositing may fail in NX Studio. Issue fixed.
