
ATOMOS announced a new firmware update for their Ninja TX GO and Ninja TX series of monitor-recorders. This update enables ProRes RAW recording from the Canon EOS R6 Mk III hybrid mirrorless camera.
ATOMOS Ninja TX Series Firmware update 12.2.1 unlocks the true potential of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III, enabling high-resolution ProRes RAW recording. The Ninja TX supports resolutions up to 6960×3672 (up to 30P) and 4320×2278 (up to 60P). The Ninja TX GO achieves a maximum resolution of 4320×2278 (up to 60P). Additionally, both models support camera control of the EOS R6 Mk III via USB-C.

Ninja TX GO/Ninja TX
The Ninja TX GO and Ninja TX are ATOMOS’ next-generation on-camera monitor-recorders designed for professional filmmakers and content creators. Both models combine a bright, high-resolution 5-inch HDR touchscreen display with advanced recording features, and support formats such as Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes LT, 422 & 422 HQ, and Avid DNx to deliver high-quality, editable footage.
Both devices feature real-time monitoring tools such as EL zones, waveform monitor, focus peaking, LUT support, camera control/touch focus on supported cameras, and can record directly to a CFexpress card via HDMI (Ninja TX GO) or via SDI & HDMI (Ninja TX), enabling long recording times and a fast post-production workflow.
About the Canon EOS R6 Mark III
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is a hybrid mirrorless camera equipped with a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC X processor, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II. It offers high-speed continuous shooting at up to 40fps, in-body image stabilization up to 8.5 stops, and advanced video capabilities including 7K 60p RAW and oversampled 4K 60p. It also has one CFexpress Type B card slot and one SD UHS-II card slot.
